Data sources

Source-labeled psilocybin and psilocin literature for search, monitoring, export, and citation workflows.

How the research index is built

Eight research sources feed Psilocybin-Research.com PubMed, OpenAlex, Crossref, Europe PMC, ClinicalTrials.gov, PsyArXiv, bioRxiv, and medRxiv provide records that are reconciled into the central research index. psilocybin-research.com PubMed OpenAlex Crossref Europe PMC ClinicalTrials.gov PsyArXiv bioRxiv medRxiv
Source records are fetched, reconciled, and labeled before appearing in the live index. The original sources remain authoritative.

Stored labels include journals, repositories, a trial registry and name variants; they are not unique journals. The homepage’s journal-label count excludes preprint and trial-registry venues.

How to read these data

This frozen snapshot contains 4,316 published records, 452 preprints, 308 trial registrations and 3 protocols. Catalogue records are not independently verified studies. “Published” is the database’s classification, rather than an independent peer-review audit; registrations are not trial results.

Source counts reflect retained labels after deduplication and enrichment, not the complete coverage of each database. Use labelled counts to compare source clouds; annual and topic bars share a zero baseline. Recorded years use stored publication or registry dates, which do not necessarily indicate study completion.

2026 is incomplete. Its records include four dates after the 11 October snapshot. Those entries are preserved in the film. Indexing delays, backfills and changing source coverage also affect comparisons. Record counts do not measure treatment efficacy.
